BIO

I'm currently a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT). My research focuses on microfluidics, electromagnetic sensors for microplastics detection, and the development of novel electromagnetic techniques for layer-wise inspection in powder bed fusion metal additive manufacturing. In parallel, I'm pursuing a PhD at IST, centered on the development of a smart sensing system for real-time microplastics detection. This project has been recognized for its impact and innovation, being selected as one of the winners of the "Programa Transformar" and awarded a 10,000 € grant. Also, I'm an invited teacher for the Department of Computer Engineering (DEI) at IST.
